I’m back! Last week was CRAY-ZAY. And this week continues to look the same. I am starting to realize that everyday just might be kinda crazy for the next few months. Have I already been sucked in by the “holiday rush”? I’m afraid it is very possible, my friends!
Needless to say, I had a blast at my first Kansas City Fashion Week. My participation in this weekend’s festivities started Thursday evening with a fun happy hour for KCFW Media/Bloggers at the Hilton President followed by a quick run over to Halls KC for the Rebecca Minkoff event! It was so cool to meet Rebecca and celebrate her time in Kansas City with shopping, a sweet DJ and cocktails!
Had to snap a picture of Rebecca’s amazing shoes…the only thing I would change about them is that they’d be on my feet. Meeting up with friends and discussing our plan-of-attack for the shows the rest of the weekend made me really excited to see what KCFW had in store. I had to prep my attire early on Friday morning before I headed to work since there was no time to head home in between! Sometimes our most staple pieces will do just the trick. And it’s a good thing black/white’s on trend because my closets full of it!
Friday night’s show started off with SPARKLE from Bridget Julia Couture.
The bridal nerd in me got excited to see Katie Lee‘s creations.
I first got acquainted with the work of House of Cochan when I attended Go Blog Social. These pieces had some sass. Primary colors packed with a punch! See for yourself… And of course I loved seeing what Saks Off Fifth had to share that evening. Have I mentioned how much I ADORE leather this season? I want leather everything.
It was cool to see designers from as far as St. Augustine, FL taking part in the show. Below are a few pieces from the Cass & Britt line.
I also wanted to include this little “gem” because really…how beautiful were Rachael‘s jewels on Friday night?
And now a couple outtakes with Sarah. Why not?
Tomorrow I’ll bring you a look into what filled our Saturday evening! In the mean time, from the photos above (or if you attended the shows), did you have a favorite designer? Be sure to share in the comments below!
