Before I fled town and hit the beach last week (which I’m totally having withdrawals from as I type…) I joined my dear friends Rachael and Sarah to view the works of local designers at Kansas City Fashion Week‘s Saturday show at Union Station. These events are always a fun opportunity to indulge in my girly-side while connecting with some awesome KC professionals and brands. Before giant model step was taken on that runway, we had to hop in the Photobus for a quick pic. Let’s talk about that gold sparkle backdrop!

There were several designers that I was anxious to see again after their collections at the fall shows.  Remember when I ran into my designer crush, Kate Walz back in October?  The show kicked off with her collection featuring a little Beatle’s flair.

Another crush developed on the collection from ByWhitney. These bridal beauties were right up my alley!

Jewel tones made a pretty comeback in Lauren Bander‘s showing.  This St. Louis native was another KCFW veteran.

Koko Clemence utilized this basket weave detail in many designs…I loved it!IMG_9943 copy

House of Cochon brought the drama with their accessories and presentation. This feather bolero was my favorite.

Did you attend any of the KCFW shows?  If so, did you have a favorite designer? If not, be sure to look into joining the fun in the fall!
