This week I had the privilege of going on a private media tour of the new West Elm at the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Half of me thinks “This is AMAZING!” and the other half of me knows “This might be dangerous”.
West Elm stores are known for their beautiful furniture and home accents…full of little vignettes that showcase many of their products styled together. I was totally impressed that our new KC location (along with many other locations throughout the country) is making a big push to showcase both locally made products as well as handmade goods from artisan groups all over the world (Guatemalan Weavers, Port-au-Price Paper Makers, Santo Tomas Potters, etc.). In the KC store you’ll find a section devoted to some of our own including Ampersand Design Studio, RuffHouse Art and Hammerpress to name a few.
I snapped quite a few photos to share with you to tide you over until you have a chance to make it into the store yourself!
I’ve always loved their faux taxidermy pieces and fell in love with them even more after learning they were handmade in Haiti.I’ll definitely be adding some of these awesome Mongolian Lamb throw pillows to my bedroom wish-list!You have to know I was thrilled to see a new great spot for our KC Brides to set up their fabulous registry! I wish I could have scouted pretty WE items to put in our first home!
As BRS and I continue to day dream of our next home (hopefully more info on that coming to you soon!) I can’t help but envision some of these beautiful West Elm furnishings as our surroundings!
