Happy Monday Y’all!

I apologize for my lack of posts lately! I told y’all in the beginning this blog would follow my journey of juggling my many responsibilities and lately its been a crazy combination of group projects, travel and prep for final exams. But now it’s time to get back on track!

Asking your dear friends to be a part of your bridal party is an exciting thing!  The women who will be standing as my witnesses on that day are girls who have seen me at my worst, been supportive in some of the most difficult times and celebrated many joyous occasions with me.  They each have also been very special roles of support in my relationship with BRS and for that I am very thankful.

I wanted to make sure that each of my sweet friends knew how much it would mean to me to have them by my side on that day when BRS and I make our covenant to one another.  Handwritten notes are a great way to show sincerity and appreciation for others.  They also allow a lot of room for creativity!

For this “bridesmaid proposal” I decided to carry out our wedding’s rustic theme with the use of burlap and twine.  I used a vintage design “Will You Be My Bridesmaid” printable from Wedding Chicks as my stationery.  (Wedding Chicks also has great Thank You notes, Invitation Suites, etc that you can print for free! I head over to their blog every chance I get for great inspiration posts and ideas!)

I attached each note to a mini-bottle of champagne (in honor of the celebration to be had!).  On the back of the stationery is where I wrote out my request to have each bridesmaid share in our special day.  I think they turned out pretty cute!

What do y’all think? How did you ask your gals to join you on your wedding day? Let me know and leave a comment below!

Last week my mom and I had a consultation with a florist and it was so fun to put together our ideas for floral arrangements, my bouquet, boutonnieres, etc!  I am anxious to receive our estimate so that we can move forward!

We are opting for arrangements full of soft romantic whites, raw cotton, succulents, magnolias and garden roses.  I really hope to create some Southern warmth in our mid-winter celebration with details such as the cotton bolls, mason jars and candlelight!

Y’all may know I am quite the contest nut…and a vendor that stole my heart with their beautiful bolls, Floral Cotton, is giving away 50 bolls to one lucky lady + gent for their day through Southern Weddings Magazine!  Two other couples will receive 25 bolls a piece!  You can bet I entered myself in that one!

Today I wanted to share with y’all some of my inspiration images for our reception.  Enjoy! :

I am so excited to see how all of these elements will come together! As you may have noticed, we aren’t using too many bold colors in our arrangements.  I’m thinking the pureness of whites and the natural/rustic feel is much more fitting for dear BRS and myself!

Leave some love below and let me know what you think! Add some color?  Keep the neutral tones?  We’ve got plenty of time to switch things up!
